Huge Changes and Update!

Thank you so much to all of you who have helped us recover from the loss of our home (on December 29th it burnt down- but no one was hurt we've just lost our home and about 98% of our belongings).   Your gifts and prayers have been an incredible encouragement and blessing and it has been very humbling to watch God working through his people as they live out the body of Christ.
Without your help and support we would not have been able to carry on.
Our home just before Christmas 2017.
As many of you know, we were planning to rebuild our home on the original sight after clearing the remains of our former home (we’ve already finished clearing up the site). However after much prayer, discussion, and deliberation we have decided instead to rent an apartment for the summer. There are several reasons for this.

As some of you are aware, Elijah recently completed his degree (just before Christmas) and has been in the process of joining the Marine Corps since that time. This means that we will be moving to a location of the military’s choice within the next 6 months. Since we would only be occupying the rebuilt house for several months, we have decided to spend our few remaining months together enjoying our time as a family rather than working on a construction project.
Elijah Meggs family, December 2017.
We intend to move to Florida and rent an apartment there for several months until we receive our permanent duty station from the military. We’ve chosen to move out of state as we don’t have any real estate tying us here to Texas and because everything we own can fit in the back of our Suburban.
We’ve contemplated moving out of state for various reasons for many months, and with nothing material to keep us here (Elijah is currently looking for work), we have decided to search further afield and try a new area as a young family. We intend to move sometime during the week of January 15th-20th or possibly the week after. We are very grateful for all the support and love we have received from our friends and family in Texas and beyond and we will keep everyone updated as we start this exciting new chapter together as a family.

May God bless you all!
Elijah, Faith, and Jael
